Tips when buying a used laptop ...

I'm planning to buy a used centrino Laptop for my sister this weekend (because i want my PC just for me ) . I have never been a laptop user , so any suggestions you want me to give when i go out (there are number of shops in my city ) for buying the new lappy ? like what should i check for ?

1) Don't say lappy.
2) Check carefully for any damage, obviously.
3) Ask for the BIOS password if it's set.
4) Ask for any and all discs/documentation with it.
5) Get a guarantee or warranty if you can.
6) Perhaps consider running WGA on it and make sure it's a legit copy of windows and make sure the key on the case matches the key it's registered with.

Do a little Googleing for the exact model number. Many times that will uncover any inherent flaws in the model line.
