Tips on OC'ing and settings

I feel like my system is not running as quickly as it should. My old XP 1900+ with 756 of SDRAM loaded farcry faster than my new SATA RAID 0, XP 2500+ (running at 2.3 GHz), with 1GB DDR dual channel(Corsair value select). Tips for bios settings that may speed things up or drivers that may help? I've tried to update everything but results have been marginal.

Thanks in advance.

the same EXACT thing happened to me, when my A7N8X-E Dlx bit the dust (running AXP 2500+, SATA (non-raid), 512 MB Dual-Channel running at around 190 FSB, my mobo borks out beyond that, GeForce FX 5700) i took my GFFX 5700 and put it in an older KM133A HP PC with 512 MB SDRAM PC133, 80 gig ata 100, and athlon xp 1600+ (its a palamino too) and it loaded faster, both used to have no extra processes running in the background, its odd
