Being lying in bed for the last 2 hours... It's about 35C in our house and I am dying :(.

Any certain foods, or drinks make you go to sleep better?

Yeah, my window is open... I think it was around 25C today... the air is cool now outside. I've tried drinking more water, but I am just going to the bathroom every half an hour now.

Man, that crap happens to me too...only I can't go to sleep until like 4 in the morning and its semi cooled off...grab a giant fan, open a window...put the fan up on the window...usually works for me...only if you wake up in the mornign all cold...you gotta get up to turn it off...which usually sucks too...usually I can sleep cuase by the time the houes gets hot my parents have turned the air conditioning on so that I can sleep until 2 in the afternoon...won't be like that once I start workin on monday hto

The other two PCs make minimal heat... they are both Pentium 150s... my monitor OTOH makes a lot of noticable heat.

btw, I checked the weather page and at the airport it recorded 30.2C (I live inland so it was warmer here).

I like my previous job where I had to get up at 5am, I never had problems falling asleep around 9-10 in the summer :)

btw... The whole house is hot! If I leave my room, there is no noticable temperature change.

L8r, gonna try to catch those ZZZZZ's

I have this problem too, and I have to sleep during the day. When I get home from work in the morning, I open up the house, turn the fans on, etc, and get the house as cool as possible before it starts to heat up. Then I close everything up and go to sleep (usually I wake up when I'm just starting to overheat..) It doesn't help that my Athlon box is a very effective space-heater.

Fan placement is everything.

I just realized asking the night owl crowd wasn't the right idea :p

Anyways, I ended up getting 4 hours of sleep now... time for work!

Get a Misty Mate.
Clip the nozzle on the front of your fan.
Spray for 30 seconds (DON'T DO IT NEAR YOUR PCs).
Shiver
Sleep well.
Repeat if you wake up.
