I had some roach problems in my apartment a few months ago and I used some roach bait which has effectively stopped it. Now I have ant problems. It's springtime so I guess they are out of hibernation. Yesterday I found quite a few ants roaming around. They were the ones with very large antennae's so I'm assuming they're the scout ants looking for food now that they're out of hibernation. Then this morning I woke up to find a line of ants leading to some leftovers I forgot on the table. I know it's my bad for leaving food out but it was never a problem. Is there anything I can to get rid or control the ant infestation?

thought this would be about cognitive-behavioral therapy... it's all about controlling ANTs (automatic negative thoughts).

keep Sugar and other sweets (cakes, etc) out of the open air. Wrap them in plastic and stuff them in a fridge.

Ants have extremely good smell and can target you at amazing distances.

Also find open slots in floor or under carpet where yo think they may be coming. I use clear duct tape in corners. This is the best way to prevent scouts from entering your abode.

Always clean up your home (even wipe up any water), and patch up the holes through which ants can invade your home. Some ants live inside the walls, so good luck!

Btw, white vinegar mixed with some water kills most species and keeps your house chemical free.

Import red fire ants and let them battle for supremacy of your house. By the time they are done you'll have wish you never got rid of those roaches.

Borax+sugar+water put it in a jar lid turned upside down.

If you find a lot of dead ants around the lid, put in less borax. You want the ants to live long enough to get back to the nest and die. They puke up the borax on death and the other ants will eat it, and so on, and so on, and so on,.........

Hard Gamma Radiation....
bathe your house in gamma radiation.

You'll kill all the pests AND you'll get the powers of the Green Lantern .... or cancer.

There's some stuff called Advance ant or Advantage ant killer or something like that. It's a miracle how well it works. We had a HUGE ant problem and used that stuff and they are done. It's small granuals that they take back to the lair and it poisons them through the food when they eat it.

Works great. Was recommended to me by some exterminator prople I know.

This is the stuff:

I sprayed with some common pesticide you can get in the stores. Then I put out those bait traps. Cost me $20 and I haven't seen ants for the last 10 months.
