Pry all they keys off, wash them in a big bowl of warm water, and use Q-tips to clean the area under the keys.

The best solution I've found is to turn the kb upside down and drop it from about 30-40cm about 10 times.

Fast and efficient.

I just hose all of my keyboards off. Just make sure that they are completely dry before you plug them back in. Otherwise you're going to have water shorting out and the output of the keys will be wonky. About 12 hours in a warm room should be a decent drying time, or put them outside for a few hours.

That's basically what I do to clean mine. I pull off all the keys, fill up the sink with warm water, dump in some soap and rinse away. Then I bring the base in and I run that under the water and get rid of any gunk that's left behind. After everything is all clean I let it dry for at least a few hours until it's bone dry and then I put it all back together and it looks good as new.
