Tips for writing notes in OneNote on a Microsoft Surface?

I'm having a lot of trouble and annoyances. I have the Bamboo Ink pen from Wacom and the Surface 3 (non-pro).

When I go to write, the first thing that naturally touches down is my palm. This immediately moves the screen around on me.

A lot of times the palm also touches the touch-sensitive Windows logo on the right of the screen, which brings up the app menu.

All of this is super annoying. Are there any settings that I'm overlooking here? Like a "only respond to stylus tip" setting?

Is there a palm rejection setting in either a control panel, or the software itself? (Sorry, but I'm not familiar personally with the Surface, but palm rejection is what you're looking for.)

There is an option in the pen settings "Ignore touch input when I'm using my pen", try turning that on. Otherwise you can practice putting the pen on the screen first.

You can turn off the windows button in the surface app, you can install it from the store if you don't have it installed.
