I have a lot of work to do tonight so its going to be a late night, any tips for fighting off sleep?

Thanks 🙂

1. Post a ridiculous thread on ATOT.
2. Keep refreshing the thread.
3. Start work.
4. Go back and refresh thread, reply.
5. .........
6. Profit.

MY first suggestion would be caffine, but based on experience you have to be smart about it, if you start out drinking alot of caffine you will crash after a while. ITs best to hold off on the caffine till you really need it, and then slowly ramp up as needed. Also, personally for me walking for a few minutes outside in the cold gets the blood flowing and my brain back in function. IF that doesn't work and you are really screwed cutting yourself also releases the endorphines, but thats probably not a good idea to pull until final exam time.

1. get ice cubes
2. put them in bathroom sink
3. fill up sink with cold water
4. put head in sink for as long as you can hold your breath
5. soak hands in sink for at least 30 seconds
6. grab your nuts

Back in college if I had to stay up all night, it was Dr. Pepper & a bag of chocolate mini-donuts.

are you sure you arent missing an h from your name 🙂

Willpower?

Play some music in the background, but nothing too soothing, or you'll get to sleep.

Whatever you do, do not give in and say you'll take a "15-minute nap." Those turn into all-night-long sleeps.

I'm in the same situation. Have a massive calculus test tomorrow that I gotta study for, then semester finals the last 3 days of the week (high school)

I learned a long time ago in boot camp and nuke school that caffieine doesnt work very well for long term. Since its a drug and a stimulant it will eventually wipe you out.

Stick with juice and water for the long haul, only use coffee and coke for getting up.
Food in my stomach always helps, but some folks tell me that actually makes it worse for them.

you're so emo

to stay awake, eat a few slices of turkey, and wash it down with a tall glass of warm milk

I suck on cinnamon altoids myself. Having a full stomach can make many people sleepy, as the body is routing energy to digest the food, I believe.

just dont sit for lengthy periods of time. if it is cold outside, go run around your house or dorm or w/e. keep your pulse up, and drink lots of fluieds
