Tips for safe effective tanning?

EDIT: Ok, so sun tanning is out. What are some good brands of sunless tanning lotion? Which ones give good results and last longer?

Hossenfeffer mentioned Neutrogena worked well for him, anyone else have experience with another brand?

Thanks

I don't really know because I don't usually use sunblock/oil at all. I probably should, but I can stay out for several hours and still not get burned, so I haven't had any need to. Unfortunately, it also takes me a while to get tanned. What I've always heard is to use at least SPF 20 sunblock, and limit your exposure to a reasonable amount.

In the summertime is when I absolutely hate being a true redhead.
I go from pale to burned, back to pale again. I've never tanned in my life
🙁

I've actually used some sunless tanning lotion for a couple shows I've done. The Neutrogena self-tanning foam was particularly effective.

There really is no such thing as "safe tanning".

Ok, perhaps I'll try the sunless tanning method. Can anyone recommend some good brands?

Hossenfeffer mentioned Neutrogena.. anyone else?

Thank you for not even reading my post. I really appreciate it. I really do! I'll be sure to return the favor later on for you... probably many times over.

Thanks again.

The safest way is to go to Home Depot and buy some light brown paint. Fill up your bathtub with it and roll around in it. If you use oil based paint, the tan will last longer, as it won't wash off when you shower.
