tips for falling asleep earlier

ever since college I rarely sleep before 1am, I'm just never sleepy before this time. I want to sleep way earlier than that like 10pm ish. I guess the problem with my post this now is only the insomniacs are awake and people I need advice from are zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

the best thing to do it is to just get up earlier, and make sure you stay up. also, don't take naps during the day.

when you're in bed, don't just lie there restless for hours. if you can't get to sleep after about 15-30 minutes in bed, get out of bed and go do something until you get tired.

Take simply sleep (a sedative antihistamine) for a few nights at 9PM, be out by 10PM. Do it for at least 4-5 days, and then hopefully you can adapt to that routine.

Stay away from caffeine, and do something relaxing before bed. Do not try to go right off the forums and go to bed, your mind needs to be dormant to shut off.

what i do to fix my sleep schedule is stay up all night and through the next day..then i am so exhausted by the next night that i can just pass out ..then make sure you have an alarm so that you get up at the time you want to

try to do some physical activity, this will help with the restlessness. I know for myself if I don't workout or do something physical throughout the day having a desk job makes it hard to try to get to sleep at a decent time.
