Years ago when I worked at a sandwich place, if we got a large order with lots of customization (particularly for an office lunch, not necessarily off the catering menu) most of the time they were generous enough to tip us because we'd have the order bagged & ready (and correct) when they walked in to pick it up.

If they stood in line and placed the order (which disrupted "normal" workflow with 1 person ordering 20 sandwiches and us scrambling to keep up) they usually did not tip.

i take it you've never been to jason's deli.

the people taking your orders don't see the receipt. they have no clue who tipped and who didnt.

and in general, the employees at jason's deli are very friendly.

"Hey Marty, it's that d-bag with the huge order that never tips. Give him the Jason Special will yah?"

See the same sort of thing at a place like BW3, order wings for pickup, show up, pay via CC and there will be the line for a tip. WTF.

No tip for them.

Now, if I was eating out, and the waitress was hot...she would get the tip. :sneaky:
