Takeout containers and supplies are not free. It's also time consuming to pack takeout.
This is true, but I would think that these costs are less than the labor costs of a waiter/waitress, and the cost of the water and dish washing services, etc.
Labor costs of a waiter/waitress are pretty minimal... in most states they ~$2 an hour, so if a waiter covers 4 tables that's $.50 a table.
