Tip to speed up browser in Win XP!

Open up the the registry and go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace

under that branch, select the key:

{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}

and delete it.

This is the key that tells Windows to search for Scheduled Tasks. You may want to export the exact branch so that you can restore it if necessary.

The title isn't very clear, but as I recall this 'tip' is for browsing your local network (which it may speed up), not for browsing the internet (which I don't think it affects)

FYI,
Bill

Agree. Don't think it will speed up Internet Explorer.
