My time machine is malfunctioning. I will fix it the day before yesterday, and bring myself to tommorow.

Sort of like when Calvin tried to invent a robot to make his bed for him, and Hobbes pointed out that it would be more work to make the robot than to make the bed, and Calvin pointed out that it wasn't work if someone didn't make you do it?

No, it was actualy a homework assingment. Calvin was going to invent a time machine, go back to yesterday, and take himself to tommorow so he could skip the dumb assignment.

I remember that strip, and referred to the one I did intentionally. He never did try to invent the time machine, he just wrote down that he would for his homework assignment. He actually did do the assignment.
