Tip for RAM and Win2k

I just read that tip today on win2000 mag: If you were wondering if you would benefit from adding more ram (I know it is so cheap now that I shouldn't even post this 🙂) After a reboot, use your sys as usual for the whole day (appz, play some games etc...) then run task manager->performance-> and check the commit charge peak. If it stays below your available RAM then you won't gain from adding more memory.

same principal can be said with virtual memory... if u use virtual memory, log it to see how much you're using, and then set it accordingly

Bear with me for the dumb questions, but I just recently installed Win2k.

1. How do you log your use of virtual memory?
2. I've got 512ram of memory, and my minumum is set to 768 and the max is set to 1536.

What would be the optimal setting for the virtual memory?
