Tiny Series of Clear Spots on Edge of Screen

Just noticed a series of tiny clear spots on the edge of my tablet. Don't think its the usual pixel/subpixel problems, could be wrong. Any thoughts? What are they? Is this a manufacturer defect of some kind? Something else?

Make or model would help. Cheaper tabs have cheaper screens.
