Hi guys,
As many of you know I've been through very bad financial and job problems for the last 3 years now. In the recent months I've been searching for a new cheap way to live cause my apartment rent is too high. For your reference here is the link to old thread about getting me a shed, wood stove and what not. https://forums.anandtech.com/thread...od-foundation-layed-for-a-tiny-house.2542899/ There I was even considering camping in the wilderness so I won't have to worry about rent and utilities.

Jesus very strongly emphasized on getting myself a Tiny house over and over. There were many times I got discouraged and became despair and wanted to forget about going with a tiny house cause there are a lot of up front fees to pay for both house and leasing a land not to mention the complicatons to deal with electric, water and sewer, foundation for the tiny house etc etc.. I thought it was very bad idea to go this route but Jesus said "NOOOOOOO". He wanted me to stick with that plan he says it is his will for me to live in a tony house so I said ok. I put down the down payment to order a tiny house today! I ordered to my desired specification. It is 12x24 and has a 4' porch included. It has a loft right above porch with a window as well. It's got two windows with door in the center in the front. Another door and a window in the back. The floor and all windows will come insulated. It's got tall cathedral ceiling. Oh wow man this house is gonna look pretty ^o^) it's too good to be a shed it's like a little luxury home. It will have 3 electrical outlets and a cable line. Only thing it will not have is water and sewer. I don't have money for that and Jesus wants me to go without anyway. He told me NOT to get a toilet compositor so I said ok. The electric company will come to look at the place and property to quote me on installing electric meter and to get permit to use electricity.

The land is pretty big as well over 4000 sq ft and the property tax is cheap. I will be signing up the contract soon with the security deposit and first month's payment for lease. The Tiny house is on a 3 year rent-to-own and will be mine paid off. I locked the land lease for 3 years. The land lease contract says I must keep the lawn in descent shape so that means I need to get a lawn mower too.

Where exactly do you plan on shitting? My guess is the neighbors aren't going to be happy with a cesspit in your backyard.
Also, if it doesn't have plumbing or heat it's not a house, as it's not habitable.

I'm guessing plastic sack for my solid waste? For urine I will use water jugs I heard that lawn likes urine cause it has nutrients for the grass to grow. I'm not sure where to dump solid waste. That's my only concern... And washing my body is easy just use my rag with soap and water. To wash my hair I will use a gallon of water and soap. It shouldn't be much of water consumption as I'll wash my hair once a week. I am a rice eater but requires a lot of water to prepare it so I'll replace it with loaf of bread and use paper plates. The heating isn't an issue as I will have electricity and just get a portable heater I don't need to heat my entire house. Any other questions?

Oh and the company where I'm buying the house from provides free delivery of my home. They'll charge me $175 for professional blocking job to secure my house on the lot. They do all the leveling and know exact mounting points on the beams under the house. This works out for me so well cause I had no idea how to go about doing this myself.

The electrician guy was asking if I want a lighting fixture as well. I don't know if I need that or not I'm trying to keep all costs down.

They said it takes upto 5 weeks to build the house and get it delivered. Land lease will start on July 1. This will give me 20 days to have electric set up and activated and get all things situated cause I'll get kicked out of my apartment on July 20. I think all things will go well.

This sounds too far fetched to be real...

But, congrats!
Thanks. I paid the down payment on the house yesterday and they will start building the house on the following week. When the house build comes to near completion I will go inspect the house and take a few pics to show you guys the progress.:)

My little brother has been living in a school bus that him and his wife converted into a tiny home for 2+ years now. It's not one of the huge ones but also not the short bus, it's that in between one.

They live in Austin TX too so it's pretty damn hot. They have a decent size piece of land that they just plop it on. They own a horse or two too so they need the land.

That's cool. Thanks for sharing.
Speaking of hot what should I get to cool my tiny house? Today has been terrible and humid it was at 92F! I turned off the air condition and just relied on my little fan and I thought I was gonna die.

My tiny house does not come with an air conditioner. Would those evaporative air cooler work any good? I have never used it before..

The entire story is bazaar, and it comes from a guy who claims to have purchased audio cables on a twenty year payment plan.

Fingerhut man, you can buy anything on there. However bizarre it sounds, people in general can be bizarre. I know a guy who has lived for 20yrs with no running water, he bathes using gutter water and I've witnessed him drinking creek water dipping it out with his hard hat. His whole life is like that and I don't suppose he'll live a long life but at least he's going to out survive many people if there's a zombie apocalypse.

Very good post. The guy like you mentioned in your post can even outlive people in the luxury cause the diseases are not caused by what we eat but determined by our sin. The demons of sickness have to get permission from God in order to disease someone.

Good point you brought up. Maybe I could use gutter water to wash my face, brush my teeth, wash my lunch container and such. I would like to find ways to collect rain water. Or if I could get free jugs of water would be nice.

I'm curious. You can't afford your rent or electric bill, but you can afford a tiny house, land to put it on, and a new electric service. How's that work?

My job is more stable now, compared to last whole year which has been absolute nightmare it just can't get worse than that.
I said I didn't pay for the tiny house in full it's on 3 year installment rent-to-own. I just needed to make a downpayment (10% of the price of the house) to order it. Land only requires $110 deposit fee + $110 for the first month.
House payment is $305/mo.
Land lease is $110/mo.

Electricity meter installation and activation they are looking at anywhere from $1000~$1500 that's a conservative number it could be less. I will have to charge it on my credit card.

I will be saving about $130~$150 a mo compared to the apartment I'm living in. Tiny house will be paid off in 3 years and will be mine. I'll be paying only the electric bill, land lease payment and semi-annual property tax which is very cheap. Now all this as long as I don't lose my job again and get broke. Any other questions? Oh and my car will be paid off in 2 years.

I hope it all works out well for the OP, but I can't shake the feeling that he's running headlong into a disaster. Living long term without sanitation or running water isn't a pleasant experience.

Yes not having easy access to water and sewer is gonna be difficult and painful. This is forecasted and expected so it won't come to a surprise later on. I just need to get plenty of water from the grocery store and get extra plastic sack. I think water refill at Meijer is around 50 or so cents. That's not bad.

I'd think having running water and septic is extremely important. Saving $150/month and foregoing running water doesn't really sound like an even trade-off.

When the weather is warm.....otherwise maybe the landlord will pay you back for improving the land by adding water whether it be from a well or city supply. If you shower outdoors there's no need for a sewer/septic system.
You mean you want me to take shower out in my backyard? I don't think the neighbors want to see me naked I'm a guy. Nice product though. But like I said earlier I will use my rag with soapy water to wash my body. I've been practicing that right here in my apartment and it works like a charm. And for washing my hair I'll be using 1 gal of water once a week.

You should join a gym and use it to shower each day.

Ok guys, because many of you did not find my approach reasonable on getting a tiny house without the water and sewer I asked the Lord Jesus for the second time. I asked Jesus "Can I get plumbing for my house?" And he replied immediately "NOOOOOOOOO!!" This is my second time confirming this. He also said "DON'T GET THE COMPOSTING TOILET!!!" He was real strong on that. He said rest in this and not to worry about it and just get a tiny house and the land he chose (or arranged) for me. So I have to obey. God can make impossible possible. And conversely, he can make possible (or something that can be done with ease) impossible with his supernatural power. So I am at peace in this. A few weeks ago he told me that that's the way he wants me to live by not having water and sewer. He said it will be used as part of my fast offering to his kingdom.

Man I can't wait for my house to get finished. Around June 15 I will be sending the land lease contract along with a deposit and 1st month's payment. All this will go as planned as long as I don't lose my job.
