I have to admit, the first couple of times I saw that I thought the same thing. It wasn't until after I saw a pretty cool 3D physics/material simulation done by some university and another video of a jet fighter crashing into a reinforced concrete wall (like the kind used to protect Nuclear Power plants) that it became pretty obvious that tons of aluminum can easily be nearly-vaporized by a high-speed crash and explosion. I'll try to find those links, as I didn't immediately see them in the previous thread.

The F4 hitting that concrete wall is sure a cool clip!! I would still think there would have been pieces left of a 757 though. You can't really tell what was left from that video anyway.

Reminds me of when I loaded up some cartridges for my .220 Swift to 4400 Feet Per Second. I shot a big owl during the wintertime and when I went over to look at it, it was like he had been dressed out. I immediatley looked up in the tree branches expecting to see entrails hanging from the branches ready to drop on me, but there was nothing?? Upon closer examination, I noticed little red spots, smaller then a pinhead all over the white snow. His entrails had been vaporized!! LOL
 
They should really release that camera footage. Just like they should explain the Odigo stuff. Nothing needs to be secret about 9/11. Not that I believe this clip though... one silly thing is that we all know jets can disappear by looking at the twin towers collisions. the planes just vanished into the buildings.

I agree. I think it is hard for us average people to imagine just how fast 500 mph really is.

thanks Ck. That origional video was a little creepy, and I had seen those pictures for the Last two years and they both kind of made me say "huh"


but your links put that little doubt out of my head



I just didnt think if the plane could vaporize like that, but I knew I was really ignorant of the scientific realities of the matter so proof that it can vaporize is good
