Amsoil. Why am I not surprised.
I'm still waiting for Amsoil to explain why their marine 2 cycle oil still hasn't been certified TC-W3. Amsoil sure touts it as being the best on the market yet refuses to get it certified. And then Amsoil says "Don't worry about that....it's still better than Merc/Yam/Honda/Suzi/Pennzoil/your oil here", and while maybe that's true, using it on an outboard under warranty will void said warranty. Can't simply be the expense of the test, as marketers of the stuff claim, as Amsoil has spent the $$ required to get API cert. for their vehicle/car engine oils.
C'est la vie. Muchof Amsoil just strikes me as being very Amway-ish or K&N-ish in their marketing attempts. I just never remember Mobil 1, Red Line, Royal Purple, Pennzoil, Castrol, et al, using that test to promote their oils while I do seem to remember pics/results of that exact same test being used by Amsoil years ago to laud how good their oil was.
