Okay, my mother has been participating in these ridiculous "deals" for real estate for several years now and since they're virtual money pits (can't rent them out) I want her to get rid of them - but I don't know how.

Anybody know of a reputable outlet besides the obvious (newspapers, classifieds, etc.) where we can dispose of them? I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of a realtor for timeshares. eBay doesn't seem to be the correct place for this sort of thing...

Unless you are in bum screw nowhere there are places that you can trade in your timeshare. You timeshare is rated according to its value (ie. location, time of year, etc.) and once yours is in the pool you can pick from a variety of places that have the same "value" as yours. My parents are doing this and love it. Last year they went to Aruba, Puerto Rico and another place all from trading the ones that they never used.

Look at it this way - MY MOTHER, no $ or time to go on long, expensive vacations. She works well over sixty hours a week as a teacher...bah.
