Time's Top 100 People Who Shape Our World

Crap list.
Daddy Yankee has done crap all for the "world", unless "world" once again means the America's.
Same goes for Rachel Ray. Time needs to correct the title of this list to "The 100 people who shaped America/The US"

Edit: read further down.

They seem to have a lot of localised people. I don't really think half those people could be seen as having shaped the world, just small (very small overall) parts of it IMO. They haven't caused world changing things to happen.

true

seeming that they have the list broken out into groups, I find this more legit...
you can't lump Will Smith a world leader

on a similar note, how can then NOT include BinLaden?

Agreed, how is Dane Cook on that list? 😕 Andrew Dice Clay did more to shape our world.

I discount any list that has more entertainers than any other group.
You don't think entertainment shapes the world? 😕

Types of entertainment -sure, but Entertainers - Definitely NOT. I think the media likes to believe that entertainers shapes the world. But, they don't. Typically, entertainers hand on to the coattails of other shapers.

When I think about shaping the world, I think about how societies function, how people live their lives, etc. I don't think of some rich star telling me I need to think this way or support this cause because they say so and they're a big star and believe they know more than I do. Entertainers create and shape nothing more than a 2 hour story, at most, that I may or may not enjoy.

I nominate Dr Ning Li, antigravity research scientist at the University of Alabama,

to replace the entire list of movie stars.

Her research promises to change the whole world.
