timedemo in Soldier of Fortune?

Hi,
want to know is there a timedemo for Soldier of Fortune?
If so, how?

The gameplay is definitely smoother than UnrealTournament.
What kind of engine does it use?

No problemo. Get to the main menu and press the Escape key, that should get you to the console. Otherwise, try the other familiar ways to get to the console ala Quake 2, like pressing the ~ key. Once there you can type in:

timedemo 1
demomap demo1.dm2

Where &quot;demo1.dm2&quot; is placed, is the filename of a recorded SoF demo.

Oh, and if you haven't figured it out already, Soldier of Fortune is run on the Quake 2 engine. Of course, the developers prefer to call it the 2.5 engine. 😉 So naturally, being older tech, it runs a bit smoother.

Have fun. I had a blast catching enemies in the head with thrown knives, then picking them up and wiping 'em off on my sleeve. :Q
 
when i do the way u shown me, 'timedemo 1, demomap demo1.dm2' it will load for 1 second, then it will say 'Disconnected, You Disconnected'(something like that)

hmm, what is going wrong?

and please tell me what system u have and what do u get
