We just bought a new house across the street and I was looking around for a new ISP. Since FIOS isn't available to my street yet, I decided to go with the all the best package. I called in 3 days ago and spoke to a very rude customer service rep who told me the earliest install date was November 29th. WTF?!? I told him that November 29th was outrageous and I'd rather wait for FIOS. He was also very pushy, asking me questions like "do you want the cable or not?" So I asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor was also very rude and told me waiting 2 months to get internet, TV, and VOIP installed wasn't bad. I hung up and called back on Thursday. This agent was more polite, but still confirmed that Nov 29 was the earliest they could install it. After I started to get aggressive with him, he moved the install date to yesterday, Sept. 28. I took a day off work to wait for the technician yesterday who was supposed to show up from 10 AM - 4 PM. Nobody ever showed up yesterday. I called in and while I was on hold, the automated message told me my install date was November 29th. At this point I was really pissed. Nobody had called me to tell me the date had been changed. Actually I think the agent didn't change the install date at all. I spoke with another rep who said the earliest he could schedule an appointment now was Oct. 2. I'm not so sure I want to do business with these guys anymore. I am really disappointed in their business practices. A big company like them shouldn't be treating customers this way. Too bad FIOS isn't here yet and I'm stuck with no internet. Anyone else have problems with Time Warner Cable?
