Seems that TWC has overprovisioned their modems a little more. Reboot gave about 10% boost (Confirmed by many on Broadband Reports).

FYI! :)

comcast doubled my speed couple months ago

TWC has been stingy lately with speed bumps. Supposedly, once they roll out Maxx, everyone will get a good speed bump.

I'm just hoping that Lexington goes ahead and installs the 1Gbps city network and tells TWC to pound sand.

Anyway, anything, even 10%, is better than none.

I went from 50 to 200 Mb/s all for free. When is the last time Time Warner did anything for free. Google is already here an Time Warner customers are dropping like flies. Why settle for 200 when you an get 1000 Mb/s from Google. Time Warner has raped their customers for many years and now that they have competition, they are upping our speeds for free. Nope, I'm going with Google.

I would too if I had the choice. That's why I'm excited to see Lexington exploring it's options when it comes to bui9lding their own 1Gbps network. Hope it happens quickly!!!

All they've been doing for me is bumping up the bill year after year. :\

Same here. I finally called them and told them that I had enough. After telling them I'm leaving, they lowered my bill from $180'ish to $115 (Cable, a few boxes including a DVR, Encore and 15/1 Internet).

Back to my point above, there is a reason that the big ISP's are crapping themselves right now over some of the latest FCC rules, especially the blocking of states from preventing local cities from building their own network. ISPs for years have helped to write state laws to keep competition out....now the FCC has struck these monopolistic laws down (may still be challenged in court though) and will open many cities up to competition, either through more ISP's or the cities involved building their own municipal broadband (i.e. Chattanooga Tennessee)

Technically have 30/5 but tested at 34/6

Still within the margin of error.

I'm going to have a fun phone call with TWC come November as I'm paying $55 a month for my 30/5 but according to their documentation the base rate for 15/2 is $59 a month. Yeah right since when is that reasonable, we'll see about that

When I called (the 2nd time), mine was lowered from $55 to $35 for the same service. Of course, once a year is up, all the prices will skyrocket back up and I'll have to do it all again.

I'm with Charter and the only thing I want is more reliable internet. I'm fine with 30/2 or whatever I'm getting but what I can't stand is constant disconnect and slow service between the peak evening hours of 4:30 pm to 8 pm. It's pretty much impossible to get reliable internet during the peak hours.
