Time to upgrade to XP yet?

Hey guys,

I've got a pretty quick PC that I have been running Win2000 on for the last couple of months. Now that XP has been out for a while. I was wondering if it would be worth my weekend to upgrade to XP? I use my PC for just general surfing and some games. I have it networked to my Mac (soon running OSX).

Is there any benefits to XP for a general user like myself?

You'd see noticeable improvement in game performance, but other than that, nothing else to 'bark' about IMO.

I would tentatively agree...........and it depends on the primary mission of your system.

If you have a common hardware config, then XP will be nice. If you have a lot of cards of devices need drivers...or not well supported, then you may still wanna try, but it may cause some hassles.

I have two IDE cards which can hardly configure in Winxp....they work some time, but causing instability. And an onboard sound card which I couldn't get it work too.
