Ok, I have about $400 for upgrades and if I don't do this now, I will end up spending that money on something else. I'll be canabalizing my CD-ROM, DVD burner, floppy, X800XL and my HDD and maybe this eMachine case, but i don't think all of this will fit so what kind of case do you guys think i should get? So this is what i have come up with:

Corsair Value Select

A64 3000+ Venice

EPoX EP-9NDA3J

I need that AGP mobo because I just got this X800XL and I plan on making it last 1-2 more years, then, when my XL is just too slow, i'll upgrade to pci-e.

I still need to pick out a new HSF for the proc. so that I could possibly OC to 2.6-2.8. What would you guys recomend/change?

If you plan to try to get a maxium OC, then you might want to get the 3200+ for the 10X multiplier. Not a necessity, but will make it easier.
For a HSF, just get the XP-90 from SVC or Jab-tech.

a 3200+ at most average 50 mhz over the 3000+

it all depends on the chip you get to get 2.7-2.8

stick with the 3000+

This is true, but to get 2.7 with a 3000+(9x multiplier), your MB must run 300 HTT stable. Not all MB's will do this.
You only need 270 HTT with a 3200+ (10x multiplier), so you have a better chance of getting your MB to run that stable.

So like I already stated, a 3200+ will make it easier to get a max OC out of you chip.

pretty much, but if you get the epox or dfi board, there won't be much difference in the OC between a 3000/3200+

There is no better NF3 overclocking board than the Neo2, but not all of them will run 300 HTT stable. It just depends on the particular board.
Saying that the Epox will absolutely get a 3000+ to 2.7 GHz, is just not true. There are way too many factors.

Isn't the x800xl pci-e only?
