I want to upgrade from my abitbx6r2 cel400a system to probably an AMD. I'm looking for good value. So far I like the Epox 8k5A2+ mobo. Any need to go higher than an xp2000+? Is there really that much of a performance jump from xp2000+ to xp2200? I plan to use the system as a home "server" with occasional video editing. I'm not a big gamer. I don't own a firewire card-should I get a mobo with one integrated? Any reason I should wait for the nForce? I'm not considering intel for now because of perceived cost factor...that a mistake? Thanks for the help.

Get either the 1600+ with AGOIA stepping for $54 shipped or the 1700+ thoroughbred for $75. The 1600+ will make a 166MHz fsb at stock voltage with no need to unlock, an easy 1743MHz. If the 1700+ ends up being a revision B, then choosing a board and RAM that will handle 200MHz will allow you to hit 2.2GHz, still without unlocking.
