Ok, my friends got a new Asus P4V8X-X that I put in for him thats been running fine for a couple months, then, the other day, it all goes to shit. First he couldnt get windows booted up, it would freeze on the loading screen. When it finally got up, things seemed deceptively all right, until he tried to load up empire earth. The game was very choppy and slow to load. Running regular windows apps didn't seem to be affected though. In the device manager several devices are listed with warnings as having no drivers installed. IIRC, it was a multimedia driver, a multimedia video driver, a raid driver, and a usb driver. It sounds like an issue with via's 4 in 1 (or hyperion, whatever) drivers. When I had him reinstall them, though, it went through fine but the problems don't go away. Bear in mind this was all done over the phone.

Cliffs notes:

-Friends mobo don't work
-Looks like 4 in 1 drivers to blame
-help
-.......
