Should I get it now?
or wait 2-3 weeks till after thanksgiving? Dont really think there will be much of a price difference, but there might be more availability of used ones and they may go for cheaper. I dont know...why dont u guys decide for me :p

Is there a better alternative? to either the shuffle or Nano?? (flash players)

Because they work extremely well, have excellent firmware support, don't have any issues with scratches or LCD's breaking, and have excellent sound quality.

He asked for opinions I gave him one

Almost forgot:

^OGG is the biggie for me

Drag and drop interface without any third part programs

Voice recording, Radio recording, FM tuner

5 band equilizer

Those are all FLASH. They look large on their website but read the dimensions and you will get a better idea

Get it now. The price won't drop anytime soon. It's worth it and I haven't had problem with scratches either.

thanks for the pic. looks compact and nice. The good/bad thing is it uses a battery: i dont have to worry about recharging during my across the world plane ride in december, but lil more weight.

Hows the quality? (if you use high quality headphones like the Shures) im guessing it would be the same otherwise.

Sound quality is very good. Good signal to noise ratio so no worries about it being too quiet. If you want a built in battery get the U2.
