The time has come to buy my speakers. I can get either of the following:
(prices include shipping and tax)
Midiland s4-8200: $243
Diamond Audio s2-4100: $250
Klipsch Promdedia 4.1: $250
Klipsch Promedia 2.1: $200

now whats the best bang for the buck for a music listener? I want a clean sound but also a powerfull subwoofer to show off ;)
From previous posts, i have learned that people that own the 4100s love them and praise them like crazy, so i am leaning towards them. But the fact that i can get a 5.1 dolby setup with a remote control (8200) for less makes me think.

If you've got that kind of money to buy then you may want to get a set of serious speakers and not computer speakers and then run an output to your amplifier. I have my computer running into a pair Cerwin Vegs LS-12 (about $200 each) powered by an old Panasonic 3-cd/tape/radio amp 100W x2 channels. You really can't beat that but it does cost more then computer speakers and does not have surround sound. Just my opinion.
