Little son of a Hayabusa decided he didn't want training wheels, so I took him out to the lawn and gave him a few pushes on Saturday/Sunday. Well dad blast it, he rode right off. Fell the first time, and that was it.

Riding on grass was too hard though. Couldn't turn and keep up speed.

Took him out just now to a school parking lot, and let him go.

Didn't fall once, and must have ridden a mile. Turned like he was born to it. Fausto beware!

His bike has coaster brakes, so I was getting him used to the idea of slowing down with them, and then riding to get the feel. Still needs help getting started, but by the end of the week he should have mastered the basics.

That's my boy! :D
