OK, I'm a sceptic on this sort of thing but I just started reading "First things first" by Covey (the writer of the 7 habits book) and it sounds like it may really help me out. I am very unorganized and it causes me some serious stress being the control freak that I am. Anyone have any positive/negative experience with time management books? Are they all scams?

Good question. I'm in serious need of better time management/organization skills myself.

I haven't tried any of the books though.

I took a time management course once. What I remember:
1. Write down everything you have to do, one task per 3x5 card.
2. Rate the important tasks A,, tasks that can wait a B, and unimportant tasks a C.
3. Put all the B and C rate tasks in a desk drawer. You can throw away the Bs and Cs too.
4. Do the A tasks.
5. If you finished the A tasks go back to step 1.

I have tried prioritizing but I just don't get it really, anything worth being on my schedule was usually an "A" priority.
Any other experiences? I have heard "Getting things done" is a really good book as well...
This /. article has a lot of good information.

Read Peter Drucker's "Effective Executive" ... Don't buy it just go to the library and check it out. Then read some Abe Maslow.. then check this site out personality types

We are all different and our weak points are offset by our strong points..

here is a free test.. test to take

there are lost of sites that deal with who you are.. Myers Briggs type.. Jung..
