Bush fits just fine in there with the likes of Hitler and Stalin 😉

Not even close.

Oh no? camps of torture that are set up specifically for ONE race of people? Where they are held based on their race/religion without charges and without trial or legal representatives?

All out war based on manufactured evidence?

It's not the first time THAT has happened, is it?

As noted, Adolph Hitler was Time Magazine's Man of the Year for 1938. It was published Jan 2, 1939. Also as previously noted, Stalin was Man of the Year....
I think Bush meets their criteria quite well, since he's had the greatest impact on the World over the past year, all of it negative in this case. History will not judge him kindly.

Comparing Bush to those two is like comparing Micheal Jackson to Jeffery Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy

Oh, Hitler and Stalin were responsible for a lot fewer deaths in their first four years, the camp thing has just started and a majority of the US supports racial profiling and counter terrorist measures based on race.

Look Red, we are both old enough and sensible enough to have a mature discussion, let's stop throwing crap at eachother as a couple of kiddies and assess the current situation for what it is.

I feel that the US has threaded on ground that is dangerously close to what my grandparents fled from in Germany in the 40's, i feel this way because of the facts presented, that the US DOES imprison pepole based on race/religion without legal representatives, charges and the reports that SOME have been subjected to torture.

I am not saying that i am any better than any American, that is never the point nor the intentlion, it has to do wouth the policy of the current US "regime", for most of us outside of the US it is not very different from the third world regimes out there.

Care to discuss the civil rights of immigrant workers in Germany?

Well we do have indoor plumbing😉

You've been to the US so you know that we are far from any third world nation. The poorest Americans would be upper middle class in almost all third world countries and I can assure you that nobody is starving unless they spend their money on drugs or drink.

Clinton and Bush have a lot more in common that Bush and Hitler.

Hey, Klixxer. What do you think about this policy in your homeland?

Deporting 'hate preachers'

However, the number of legal immigrants will remain limited. The CSU managed to keep its goal of limiting recruitment only in the case of highly qualified foreigners, such as engineers, computer specialists and scientists. In addition, self-employed people who offer jobs to locals will also be allowed to immigrate.

Another key aspect of the deal is a rule that makes it easier for immigration officials to deport "hate preachers" -- wording aimed at Islamic extremists operating in Germany -- and to kick out terror suspects without trial.

Deporting "hate preachers" and kicking out terror suspects without trials? Wow, what a record of civil rights in Germany!

History may not judge kindly, but at least history will look at the facts, not liberal fantasy.

Those prisoners were fighting out of uniform and without a national mandate, not to be confused with peaceful Jewish families living in a ghetto in Berlin!

It is time to remember too that if the President of the time had gotten the US involved early as Bush has done in this war, perhaps millions of those people would have been saved.

Yeah, i felt right at home in the US, it's not about the living conditions for the society at large, it's more the extreme differences between those who live in the streets and are not sure when their next meal will come and the people who never have to worry.

The poorest people in the US starve to death as we speak, if you starve to death in NK or Sudan or the USA does not really matter, the end result is the same, the difference, as i see it, is that the US has the means to prevent it.

If you refuse to believe there are people starving to death in the US i don't know what to say except that you are wrong.

It happens in Europe too though, so it is not just a US problem, however, spending hundreds of billions on helping people in a far away land as long as there are people starving in your own country seems a bit... well, un-empathical (if that is a word, i honestly don't know but i hope you get what i mean by it).

This year the magazine named the conservative "Power Line" as its first "Blog of the Year." Kelly said blogs, Web sites that often mix news, gossip and opinion, are "here to stay."

Additionally, from the AP via Yahoo:

Bush joins six other presidents who have twice won the magazine's top honor: Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower (first as a general), Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan (news - web sites) and Bill Clinton (news - web sites). Franklin Roosevelt holds the record with three nods from the editors.

BS, i know one of the people who were imprisoned for more than a year for NOTHING.

They were not imprisoned based on ANY charges of fighting, there is not ONE prisoner in Gitmo that is imprisoned based on ANY charges what so ever.

It could be worse, and it is.

All immigrant workers face a number of legal liabilities. Federal law (the Auslaendergesetz of 1965) gives the state the right to restrict their freedom of assembly, association, movement and choice of occupation. Employed workers from other European Community countries have automatically renewable residence permits. Non-Community workers, including Turks (Turkey is not a full member of the Community), qualify as permanent resident aliens only after eight years of continuous work and residence. This problem is especially acute for second and third generation immigrants who speak German as a native language and would find it difficult to reintegrate into Turkish society. One of the problems is that under a 1913 German law, citizenship is generally limited to those of German descent and the law excludes from citizenship children born and raised in Germany by foreign nationals. Also, in order to obtain German citizenship, one must renounce other nationalities, thus prohibiting dual citizenship. This creates a problem for many of the Turkish immigrants because renouncing one's Turkish citizenship has many drawbacks including making it impossible to inherit land in Turkey.

Yeah, might as well attack Brazil, they are as much as a threat that Iraq was and they have more WMD's

The US NEVER WENT TO WAR WITH GERMANY, IT WAS THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

Pre emptive warfare based on lies and misinformation, GO BUSH!
