Haven't visited here in a while, and I just remembered there is a gardening subforum here.

If it's ok, I'd like to place some time lapse videos of a bean plant I'm growing in what is supposedly called deep water hydroponics. I plan on recording it through flowering and fruiting.

I'm pretty new at this stuff, and am just using a gopro to time lapse it at 1 pic per 60 seconds. Not sure if it really fits in this subforum, but below is the vimeo link. Any questions/feedback/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Oh, and just in case anyone is wondering, the 8 hour time period that the plant sprouted out of the dirt I missed, so I covered it up by editing the video so the beat on the music hits, and the camera angle changes to hopefully distract the viewer from noticing it lol. I was so pissed.

Thanks for watching :)

This is week 2. I'm noticing there is an issue with the growth, I'm assuming based on the video it's because the lights are so far away. I have tomato plants in the tent, so the light is about 4 feet high and the beans are less than 1 feet tall.

They are trying their best though, I'll let it go, the tomatoes are more important to me at the moment.

[Edit]I deleted the video link...for some reason the URL to specify the starting location of the video was messing the forum link. Maybe it doesn't allow #. Anyhow, 2nd week starts about midway through in the video posted in the first post.

You growing those in your own poo? :)

It's pretty interesting to see how much they move around during a cycle. I like it.

Hehe, yup!!!! I changed my diet to maximise growth.

Yeah, I was surprised how much they move at night, even seem to grow a bit. Thanks for watching. Hopefully week 3 it will get some more leaves and be more interesting :)
