For us, a meter is just a quick step. To an ant... that's quite a distance. Doesn't change the size nor definition of a meter just because something perceives it differently.
What confuses me about this is that you could say the same about the universe. We know its big relative to us, but with nothing to compare the universe itself to, how big is it really and does size have any meaning? If time is illusory, maybe space is also.
We measure the past and future in our minds, and these are but concepts. Yet we cannot measure the only "real" aspect of time, the present. This suggests it is illusory. If space and time are one and the same, then both may be illusory.
