Time for some new RAM...need recommendations!

for a amd rig i wouldn't worry too much about ram timings. "performance" ram vs regular value ram = not much difference except in benchmarks, you will never see the difference in computer usage. if you o/c just use dividers to get the ram down to a speed it will handle.

you won't benefit except in some benchmarks running the $200 ram vs the $120 ram, so i would get some that has a decent MIR.

are you even exceeding 1GB?

edit: after reading your link, what you have linked to would be fine, in fact that is what i am contemplating picking up

not a big deal, just use a divider if you need to but you won't notice it. my current ram is running at only 180MHz and it feels the same as when it was running at 225MHz, my current board works nice, but current m/b doesn't have a lot of ram mulitplier selections, it is kind of lacking in that dept

I just got some Team Xtreem Poseidon. It's DDR400 2-3-2-5 and the manufacturer's website even tells you how far it 'should' be able to Overclock. I got this stuff when my new Mushkin couldn't even make 1T at stock speeds (and with only 2 sticks).

I dunno if Team Xtreem is big over there, but in Australia it's the new big thing.

Try some Patriot Extreme Performance sticks. Best prices (without rebate) are found at outpost.com. I'm very happy with my 2GB. If you don't mind the 61 dollar MIR, get it from newegg. If you're like me and don't trust those huge rebates, go to outpost.com and order it (I ordered mine at 144.99, taxes, 7.21 shipping).

My first choice would have been Corsair, second is a tie with Samsung and OCZ.
The price at Zipzoomfly is excellent. So glad to see some decent prices for RAM.
