Taking down the X-mas decorations. Gee, some things about Southern California just kick butt, like the weather. :D

Yeah well...we may have to deal with snow but at least where we live isn't one quake away from falling in the ocean. :D

I hate cold weather espicially when there is ice on the ground. Last night (new years) I was going around one of those traffic circles in a neighborhood and the waterline busted about an hour earlier. The temp was about 24 F and the water froze around the entire traffic circle. Well I was in my dads 99' Crown Victoria  and went around the circle pretty fast for fun and the back end of the car came around then the front caught up and lost complete control of the car and smacked into the curb (which was a straight up curb about 8 inches high). No damage done to the body panels or anything, but I busted the front wheel and tire, and all the steering is bent and broken :( At least it wasn't my truck :D

PS. I live in SC so this was first time on ice :)

Southern California is nice. However, this is the warmest Winter I remember (I've lived here for most of my life). It's been consistantly warm since November.

However, Hawaiian Winters have all the US beat. I lived there for 8 years and maybe wore long pants for an average of 2 weeks each year. I do miss Hawaii's warm water (and great surf - although Cali is getting it's share of great Winter surf and perfect conditions this year).

EDIT: You have it all wrong about the BIG quake. When it finally happens, the REST of the US will slide into the Atlantic Ocean. California will still remain. :)

Sure Shux, rub it in. But you know what? When my Christmas decorations came down, I was nice and warm. God I am glad my hubby had the week off. :D

Earthquakes are fun unless they are bigger that 5.5, then they get scary. Appopin, it has been warm, kinda wish it would rain, but when I woke up and opened the door to 72* temps and a nice soft breeze, it deserved a thread. ;)

I'm freezing my fanny off here in West Central Florida... we have actually used the fireplace for the past few days!

I would not survive in a northern climate...
