There have been some intermittent type of errors and from what I understand these can be the fault of the PSU giving low or spiky voltage/currents.
From looking around on Anandtech I found only a old review on PSU's: http://www.anandtech.com/casec...ng/showdoc.aspx?i=1774
It was a good one with measurments of ripple etc. I would very much like to see a new and renews review of current PSUs. Perhaps providing more measurments underdifferent load, during alternating load and during partial power-saving mode. Some CPUs really put a strain when they are idling because of fast alternating current (amps) requirements. also, the testbed only seemed to inlude a low-end video card. Perhaps run these tests with a more power hungry card?
Something else to include could be effects of fans and other peripherals. Do they cause ripples and other distortions? Maybe doing this test with a UPS/netfilter and without one?
