i want to see if any body have any first hand experience with the Oakley Evade frame,

http://www.oakley.com/pd/6204/22450

to me it looks nice but i'm not sure how sturdy it would be. I currently wear the oakley chisel 2.0 frame that i bought about 3 years ago and its been great so far.

In my experience, Oakleys are very sturdy. Their engineering design knows how to make a solid frame. I have had 3 pairs of Oakley Rx sunglasses. Only had one problem where the hinge broke. Took it in to their HQ and the guy replaced the frames on the spot.

What about them makes you think they wont be sturdy?

the pair i have now is sturdy and i like it very much. thats why i want to buy another pair of oakley frames but something different from the "chisel 2.0" that I have now.

I just question the sturdiness of the "evade" rim-less frame because i never had anything like that before. my optometrist can order it but don't have one on display so i can't examine it in person.

Do you have an Oakley store near you? They probably have them where you can try them on.

My last two sets of Rx frames have been Oakley and they're the best frames I've ever owned. The Rimless will obviously not be as sturdy and based on your prescription, they may not look to good with thick frames.
