Time for me to upgrade my LCD monitor?

I just realized that, despite having upgraded my rig twice since 2005, I'm still using my same old Dell LCD monitor. It's not even one of the Dell uber-LCDs, just a plain one that came with an old system.

Basic Specs:
Dell E171FP
Analog
17 inches
25 ms response time

Full Specs

Any thoughts? Is it a bad pairing for my video card (I should get a better LCD to go with it)? Or just stick with it?

Really depends what you are looking for. High response time? Probably size as well I assume?

I don't like the new breed of LCDs, the panels that are used like TN or PVA really give me eye strain (I have a Dell 1908FP)...used to have a Dell 2001fp but it got stolen. I just ordered another Dell 2001fp...reason...all the Dells these days except the 2407FP use the new crappy panels...I want the old school S-IPS panels which have high color output and are also easy on the eyes...

If you look around, big screens are cheap now...but if you want an S-IPS monitor, say 20"+, it still costs a ton of money. For me the Dell 2001FP was the best of both worlds because of decent response time (16ms), the S-IPS panel, and also with the classic Dell adjustable stand, which is great for the neck (I have a couple of Sonys that I have to stack phone books under so I'm not hunched over all the time).
