From what I've heard the 8800GTS runs cooler and has a quieter cooler. Now, from my friend I heard that the GT isn't as bad as some people claim it to be. Now, I was wondering is it really worth an extra $65 to upgrade to the GTS. I'm low on cash and I can afford to spend about $200

I game at 1680x1050 and I like to have all the settings on high except I don't need to have AA or AF on. I'm leaning more towards the GT because I don't really think I need the processing power of the GTS although it might be good for the, but with the GT I can get it right now.

Also, is there anything new coming out or any chances that prices will drop, if there is I might just get an 8800GTS or 2 8800GT's. So, should I just get an 8800GT now or wait for the new video cards and get the 8800GTS.

wait and see what the 4870's do. this ati/amd trend of low price for good performance ratio is what you may have in the back of your mind and the 4870's just might be what you're looking for. i don't know how long till their out but either way they'll push all prices down in both courts (nvidia & ati/amd)

Hold for one more month, we will then get more details on the GT200 and the 4000 series, these cards will have the next architecture from both companies.

For example we recently got details that 10.1 enabled cards can get around 20% performance increase with AA enabled in the game Assassins Creed.

New cards can be here in May, and from rumor the price war will continue so prices will be very reasonable.
