Getting around that time to upgrade🙂
My current setup consists of:
Albatron PX865PE Pro
p4 2.4c@ 2.8
2x256 hyperX 3500
120 gig WD HD(8meg)
9800 pro
350w enermax psu
Ok, I'm into HL2 btw and will be for quake4 and BF2 when they come out. This is what I'm looking at upgrading too:
Same mobo and pro.
Same ram but upgrade to a gig.
raptor 36GB SATA for OS and games.
new psu
6800 NU
My questions:
I'm gonna look for benchmarks for the 9800pro and 6800 to see how much more speed I will get with that upgrade but can anyone tell me from personal experience?
With my cpu @ 2.8 with a 6800NU, would that be bottle necking me in ANY way?
About the ram, can I still run dual channel if I added two more sticks of 256(i can hold 4) making it 4x256 3500 hyperX? I'm confused about this.
Do I *HAVE* to get a bigger PSU for that 6800? Money isn't a problem, just wondering if my current one will be suitable.
