Time for a new smartphone [Android]

So my Verizon contract just ran out and I'm looking to replace my ultra-budget Galaxy S3 with something that isn't so sluggish. I know very little about my choices.

I have a Project Fi Nexus 6P sitting next to me but I'm rethinking spending this much ($500) and have some second thoughts about how the network will be (sprint sucks here; no idea about tmobile).

Here's my wishlist:
• Verizon compatible
• Spend less - $300-ish would be great
• A more pure 'android' experience - less vendor crapware than the S3 & other phones I've seen

I don't intend to root or otherwise modify the phone.

The Nexus 6 hits all of those marks, but it is a worse phone than the 6P.

Your 6P should work fine on Verizon.

What about the new Moto X? Slightly bit more money but it's as close to stock as you're going to get without it being a Nexus...

Soo you have a 6p in hand? im confused... If you do just stick with it. I myself have a 128gb on its way. Otherwise pickup a 5x 16gb at roughly that 300 mark
