Interesting to hear. Drove a PT cruiser that belonged to an old employer, and had a 300 SRT-8 for a while.....both felt like they were going to fall apart. This was 05-06 or so. Glad to hear they have improved.

05-06 were bad times for Chrysler. Basically on their last legs and Daimler had managed to suck every last bit of out of them. Quality began a dramatic upswing in 2011. Nothing is worth looking at pre 2011 unless you need a major beater.

If you actually use the FJ for its intended purposes...why not a 2013 4Runner Trail...before they completely uplift it in 2014? Basically the same vehicle with extra space/refinement.

The FJ gets dirty... Very dirty...

4Runner is an option as well. The low entry height of the highlander/flex/even the explorer (hell most things compared to the FJ) is a bonus..
Too many bad things online about the new pathfinder, seems like the trans is a timebomb (apparently its an all new model and some people are reporting 2 trans swaps in 10k miles)
Going to wait until the new highlander comes out in Jan before pulling the trigger. I have a bit of time still.
