help me Anandtech Computer Building sub-forum, you are my only hope!
heh. it's been a while since i have been around these parts, but i am planning to build a new PC so here's the skinny:

1. What YOUR PC will be used for: Gaming, and streaming while i game.

2. What YOUR budget is: 2000.00 USD (less is better, isn't it always?)

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from: USA

4. not applicable

5. IF YOU have a brand preference: I am an Nvidia and Intel fangirl

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are: i recently had to replace my GPU so I have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 that i am assuming I can still use.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds: default most likely, i don't know enough about overclocking and i am a'scaird of breaking stuff.

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using? I have two (2) 1920x1080 resolution monitors

9. WHEN do you plan to build it? ASAFP :)

10. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software? probs will need to get new Win10 unless there is some way of which i don't know to transfer my software license to the new machine. it's been a fair while since i did anything with windows on a brand new machine.

Additional note in case it is relevant: i need at least 6 usb ports for peripherals. Edited to add, I don't really care about a flashy case, with lights or anything like that.

I thank you all kindly in advance because I can put all the parts together just fine, but I can't pick them out for crap! Please let me know if you all have any questions.

I picked the 3900x since she said streaming while gaming, and the 3900x is better at that.

Here's what I'd recommend (although I left out storage and the case). I had time to add the storage. A PC case is such a personal decision (looks, performance, size), so I'm not recommending one.

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i9-9900KF 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor ($419.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Slim CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON AC ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($179.89 @ OutletPC)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($79.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: HP EX920 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($114.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Intel 660p Series 2.048 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($184.89 @ OutletPC)
Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS Plus Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($99.99 @ Amazon)

How do you get such a nice list ? Is there a one click that generates that ? My list above is also from pcpartpicker, but I just selected and pasted and thats what it did.

I think an AMD 3700X CPU would do just fine for most casual game streaming scenarios. Otherwise, as you are an Intel fan girl, go with the 9900KF and a Z390 motherboard. You really can’t go wrong with the budget you have.

Do you need the whole streaming setup?

Because 2pc always puts out the best product.

Who are you streaming with?

Did you make Partnership or whatever they call it. Why I ask. Beginners at all these stream sites limit final product to 720p. Only the elites get to bump 1080p and 4k. Regardless of your hardware.

Click on BB after you are done, and then it brings up another box where you can copy and past the text:

Do you need the whole streaming setup?

ok, i should clarify. i have maybe one person watch my stream, if i am lucky. which is fine. i'm not trying to be a "streamer" for a living, i stream on twitch for one reason, and one reason only: to capture funny bits that happen when i am gaming to share with friends and whatnot. but i still want the video to look good, and not choppy. so idk if this new information changes anything. essentially, i would want the stream to look smooth, noob streamer or pro streamer. but i need pretty good quality, not the very best quality.

also, i was thinking about it, and you all can let me know, but i currently have two internal HDDs with games and stuff. so would i be able to put those in the new machine and have it work? if so, i would only need the SSD for the OS and a few more heavily played games. otherwise, i will get an SSD and HDD.

thanks again my friends for your help!!! <3

I agree the 3900x is probably the better bet, I picked the 9900k as she said she is an Intel fangirl (plus its hard to get a 3900x)

The most entry level way to get into Twitch Streaming

I'm just saying no need to blow all your money. Remember you will probably need 2. 1 PC Streaming has gotten a lot better but still not nearly as good as 2pc.
Nvidia drivers have a slight edge over AMD for streaming.

You wouldn't happen to be making clips for VR Funny and Laddle would you?
