Time for a new case

I have an Antec 900 currently and the reason I need a new case is because I spilled iced tea on it a few weeks ago. At first it wasn't too bad, just lost use of one USB port and sometimes the power didn't turn on right away. Now it's taking a lot of work to get the power button to work properly.

I love the Antec 900 and I'm thinking about getting another. I just wish they weren't so expensive. I paid maybe 70 or 80 for mine when it was on sale but the cheapest I can find now is 100.

This case is also very quiet for the amount and size of fans it has.

Is there anything that does as good a job at cooling and quietness as the 900 but cheaper or should I just buy another 900?

dump the Antec 900 and get something without a blowhole or something with power buttons on the top?

I dont think you would have to do any splitting....the switches all hook up to the motherboard. Any replacement part would probably have the wiring to the motherboard...

Why not send an e-mail to Antec, you have only your money to lose in an unnecessary replacement of the entire case.

Antec lists quite a few replacement parts on their site - others you have to email or call them to get it. You're lucky, Antec is one of the few case companies that actually support their cases. It is probably the front panel PCB and cables assembly that you want. You'll get all new ports, switches and cables. It should easily mount up behind the front panel when the case bezel is removed.

i emailed antec to ask about getting a control panel replacement and they asked me for a copy of my invoice so i sent that to them. then they asked me for my shipping address. they haven't told me what they are shipping, but i would be extremely happy if it a new case.

Did you try just disassembling the button and wiping it off? Is it not powering on because it's all sorts of sticky or because it's shorted out now?

Antec sent me the entire top portion of the case, minus the top fan, for free. pretty easy to replace.

Not an entirely new case but still,
