Hi, would appreciate some advise, been lurking this site for awhile now appreciate all the info and tips. Just upgraded my CPU+mb, did have a FX-60 with a lower profile fan and heatsink. When I put the new setup in I found the side panel wouldnt go on because of the plastic tube and screen that used to sit above my fan+hs, so i went ahead and removed it, thinking I could just put a 80mm fan in its place. Turns out the hole where the tube used to sit is not quite large enough for the 80mm fan. I can only start one screw and it rattles terribly so i unplugged fan and leave it to cover hole. It is a clear plastic side, is there a way to drill it out some to fit , without tearing it up, or just bite the bullet and buy new case? System specs in signature. BTW thinking of replacing Alpine HS with a Coolmaster GeminII, so I probably know answer

Hole can be opened up in plastic but is done best with a hole saw at slow speed in a drill press to avoid messing it up. OTOH, a very large and impressive case can be had for low bucks depending on where you live. Check out the threads on the Rocketfish in this section and Hot Deals.
