time cutoff for threads?

I have two threads in my sig that I want to keep alive. One personally important and the other informative. How often should I bump them without bumping too often?

If you click on the search button you'll notice an option to search "Which Messages? Current Messages (last 90 days) Archived Messages (over 90 days old)". Messages get moved to the archive after 90 days.

Edit: Too slow. 🙁

by one minute, lol. yea i saw that b4 but i was wondering if he archives have a limit? I sure hope anandtech.com doesn't save all those OT threads or threads about the "New 9600SE!"
I guess I'll bump every other 6 months or so. thanks guys

The links in your sig will no longer work if no one posts in the thread for 90 days and it gets archived so bumping every other 6 months or so won't do much.

But, but, after 4 cycles of bumping, your information is going to be approximately 20% incorrect. (i.e. everyone will be one year older, and assuming a decent distribution, that means 1/5 of the people in any 5 year span will move to the next span.)
Then again... those moving in will replace those moving out...
ohhh, nevermind.
