I remember looking at some pictures that is a composite of a day, from left to right. What is this called? Can someone give me a link?

That's HDR, or high dynamic range. The OP was interested in the rarely-used and unintuitively named "HDTR" (a more appropriate description would be something like "time lapse composite"). Both are interesting and technically demanding types of photography.
 
I read the title as "Time base pornography"

and I was all like

It's funny that a google search for HDTR seems to almost always reference back to the same picture.

It might kinda need to do something like this over a longer period of time, so you go from snow, to the green of summer and finally to the colours of fall.
 
Easy to do if your camera can do auto exposure bracketing. Just push the button once, then it does all the HDR picture taking for you.
