I dunno about you, but that's pretty damned good production for a rookie.
The thing people can never seem to get about a running QB is that they ADD a different threat that compensates for their weakness. From the game I saw, he bought himself time in the pocket, and made moderately accurate throws. And he also gave his team a chance to eek out a win. It may not be pretty, but at least he did something unlike Orton who amassed a whopping 10 points with the same tools at his disposal.

You forgot Miami, they are 0-4 and lost Henne. Henne may not be great but he is better than Matt Moore. Indy of Miami will win Andrew Luck, it looks like at this point.

Vick is debatable? Regardless of what you think of him, he is here in the NFL to stay, and as a starter. And would have still been even if he didn't clean his act up in prison. He has way too much talent to not figure out most of what he did away from the game
You know what most of those others have in common? A bad attitude. Namely Vince Young who would have had a career similar to Vicks if he had just gotten a personality that wasn't born from trailer trash. Brad Smith is fine in the roll he is in, and does a fine job with it. He's a backup who comes in as wild cat, Tebow might be JUST that as well but Denver wasn't even using him, at all. Kordell Stewart had an OK career.
Also, you have a notable exception on your list - Steve Young.
Tim Tebow has more in common with Steve Young then the rest of your terrible list. Vick is quick as hell but is smaller then most women. He gets destroyed if he does get hit. Tim Tebow rolls through fools.
Cam Newton seems to be doing OK taking every snap from shotgun, not sure why Tebow can't.

The best "mobile" quarterbacks are still those who are pocket passers first and are simply able to get away from pressure when the pocket collapses. That often just means "good quarterbacks who happen to be young." Look at Aaron Rodgers now, or Donovan McNabb back when he was good.
It's a passing league. The Patriots have shown that a brick wall O-line and a QB who can stand up in the pocket and make accurate passes is the way to win consistently.

Why are you assuming that a 2nd year QB, with only one training camp, and only 3 starts can't be that QB? I mean, he missed an entire offseason of coaching because of the lockout so he is essentially still a rookie.
He will need time and needs to develop that part of his game, you will get no argument from anybody on that. So whats wrong with believing he needs game time experience to learn a lot of what he needs to learn, and he can't gain that experience sitting on the bench? Most of us would be fine if we had a halfway decent QB, but I'd rather lose with Tebow and see what we have. Then we'll know enough by the end of the season to know if he is a starter or career backup. If he doesn't get better then we know we need to draft a QB. Its as simple as that.

I don't think anyone is debating that.
My problem is you have guys that simply grab onto the concept that a guy sucks as a passer, and never give them a chance. For some, athletic/running ability can bridge that gap in their career, and help them succeed despite that lack of accuracy. In time, the accuracy may develop (as it does with some QBs). If it does, you have a guy who can escape pressure from time to time.
Instead, people simply say... oh, this guy can run and therefor will be a terrible QB. I am glad to see they'll give Tebow a shot.
Hell, in the 3 games he had last year, he ran the ball an average of 10 times per game and threw the ball an average of 27 times per game. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry, and 8 yards per pass attempt.
Those aren't gaudy numbers, but if he can up his completion percentage and run the ball the few times he has to, he can put his team in a position to move the chains, maintain possession of the ball, etc... which generally leads to Ws. He's showing a bit of that now as a sophomore QB who has been given limited chances. If he develops, the Broncos may have something.

Because his offensive line can't protect worth shit? Eagles have by far the worst O-line besides maybe the bears. He is getting hit on every play.
Then their defense can't tackle worth shit. The only reason the Eagles have even been in most of those games is because of Vick. Last year is definitely a better picture of his talent than this year.
Philadelphia is such an inept and retarded sports town. Please please please, trade Vick to Denver - we'll take him.

Last year? He was sacked 34 times last year. 45 times in 2006.46 times in 2004.
In fact, Vick has pretty much always gotten hit a lot. He's been sacked 228 times in 9 NFL seasons. 221 not counting 2011.
Rodgers has been sacked more times this year than Vick, as have a few other QB's that are doing well.

The Eagles O-line is 5th worst for QB hits in the NFC, 6th overall with 29 hits. The number of hits per team ranges from 17 to 45. Their numbers seem to be right in the range of many other teams, perhaps a little high. Doesn't seem to be enough to claim that it's an unusual amount.
My guess is that hits may be up overall due to the league becoming a passing league.

This is the part that sticks out the most for me.
IMO the media has convinced everyone that Tebow is going to be pure entertainment to watch and people are falling for it. Fact is, he's going to get smoked by any good team out there. A few wins against the homer teams like the Chiefs or maybe the Vikings might hold the complete zealots off for a bit, but even the Tebow God fetish ain't gonna keep em around forever. Denver fans are very fair weather (see Avs and nuggets, especially the Avs) no wins.. no fans.

Sure, Vick's debatable. In his time in ATL he was one-dimensional as a running QB. He has since admitted that he was lazy and never learned to read a defense. Atlanta was, possibly, a more well-rounded team with Schaub as QB. ATL definitely got better when Matt Ryan took over. In 3 seasons in Philadelphia he hardly played in one, played well in one, and played poorly in a partial. He's committed to learning to be a QB but he still can't read a defense. His running gets him exposed to hits; he has a history of being injury prone.
Steve Young, just like Elway and Rogers, used his running to supplement his arm, not compensate for it. Hell, even Randall Cunningham was the same way. He was a dynamic runner, especially in 1990, but that was always the second option for him, not the first.

Point taken. It's just hard to ignore the record which is the most important as a TEAM. Which is why I think the defense needs so much more work than fucking around with the QB. I don't really care if Tebow, Orton, or Quinn play as long as the other side of the ball isn't forgotten. We've been able to put points on the board, but can't stop anybody from putting up more.
