Denver lost. Dim Teabag doesn't suck as bad as the shitty starting QB...but they still lost. Fuck Denver and fuck Dim Teabow

Why people look at Tebow and see failure is beyond me. Winners don't care if it's pretty. Judge the kid after he's actually had a chance.

I really don't understand it either. For some reason dozens of football "analysts" tried to end Tebow's NFL career before it started. Why they are so sure he'll fail in the NFL is beyond me, all he did was win in College. Yeah it's different playing the pros but it's still Football. He can't be any worse than Orton, plus Orton has always been a dick.

Cam Newton's having an amazing rookie year, maybe Tebow can do something similar. At least he'll finally get his chance.

Tebow is not a good pro QB...yet he's the best Denver has. Don't get me wrong, he has offensive potential.

I hate McDaniels soooo much.

because he can't throw?

Tebow is an amazing football player, his potential for improvisational abilities is sky high, however if he is ever in a situation where a defense can keep him contained (not too hard for professional NFL defenders), he simply has yet to show he has the ability to pick apart a defense with any sort of consistency, you can't get away with simply being a better athlete at the NFL level like you can in the NCAA.

People keep saying maybe Tebow will finally get his chance. Does anybody remember that he started 3 games last year and did shit all with them?

His record isn't that bad, considering that he was sacked 6 times during that period and they were his first NFL games.

Depends how you look at it, but really my point was that he WAS given his chance and it wasn't too much better than Orton. Yes with more time he could grow, but he didn't show enough poise to put him in starter for the next year... and shitty training camp/pre-season didn't help him either.

If he gets more starts he needs to settle down and quit trying to be a running QB. It's great to be able to scramble when you need to, but he decides to run WAY to early and it almost always ends poorly. He's not fast enough to be Vick, and he's no longer big enough to shed tackles easily.

has yet to show

Exactly. The jury's still out. Everyone wants to be Nostradamus one way or the other, but Tebow is unique, and NOBODY really knows what he's capable of doing in the NFL when given a real chance. Bringing the hammer down on a new QB after 3 1/2 games where he didn't stink it up (not by a long way) and kept his lousy team close is pretty stupid.

Which is why, of course, every other thing people say about Tebow is a long-term prognostication. People are stupid.

DENVER -- The Denver Broncos have been told that Tim Tebow is the starting quarterback, according to 7SPORTS Anchor Lionel Bienvenu.

"As expected and no surprise to anybody, [head coach] John Fox told the team this AM Tim Tebow is now starting QB," Bievenu tweeted out Tuesday morning. "As we said on 7-sports all along, if Broncos were 1-4 at the bye week, this was the time to make the change."

Hope they crash and burn for giving Brady Quinn the finger like that. Jesus Boy is going down for this abomination.

Poor Orton.

He did it to himself by playing like shit. Not that he had much help from the rest of his team. I feel more sorry for Brady Quinn. He was supposed to be second on the depth chart but he never even got a chance to prove himself.

Vince Young- "Who cares that he doesn't have good stats, he's a leader and his team just wins."

Cam Newton- "Who cares that he doesn't win, he's the best rookie ever statistically. He's a phenom!"

Tim Tebow- "Who cares that he doesn't have good stats, his team just wins. What? Oh. Who cares that he doesn't win, he's got good stats! What? Oh. Well, FUCK YOU, that's what."

The three types of NFL rookie quarterback delusions.

Meh, Quinn gets to bang an Olympic gymnast whereas that sanctimonious douchebag Tebow is still a virgin. I know who's the bigger winner there.

So I guess now we'll find out. How long do you think is a fair time to judge him? Two months? At the end of the season?

Just because we don't expect much doesn't mean it's hatred. Low expectations =/= hate

It's low expectations but it seems like most people actually want him to fail. More than any rookie qb I can remember.

I wouldn't use Vick as an example...

Well, I suppose Vick can still run fast...

at the very least though, you know a whole bunch of people are going to be interested

I'm kind of rooting for him - IMO, he can get away with being a 50-60% comp guy because he can generate some first downs with his legs. Also, if any QB in the league can take a bit of a pounding, it's him, he's huge.

That said, he's still going to have to be able to hit receivers and fit the ball into tight spaces - jury is still out if he can do that or not.
